Listen, planning a party as a busy mom of four while working a nursing gig and running a boutique is borderline insanity. But here we are and this hot mess express rolls deep and throws a dang good party! Whether it’s a customer appreciation night, pop-up event, or just celebrating life’s wins (big or small), you know we do it with style, snacks, and a whole lot of fun. 🙌
So here’s a peek behind the scenes of our latest TDR shindig party decor — plus links to all the Amazon goodies that saved my life (and my sanity) because who doesn't love to plan something in their head and have it delivered straight to their door?! This party was planned for our 9th birthday and included a succulent bar (because... #9 Display I will be honest, I didn't read the actual product description outside of the size so this one was almost a bust but did the job! This is a foam number that you assemble and isn't really made to hold a lot of weight... so after adding all the succulents and flowers, i thought it may not survive, but it did and looked amazing! Foam Blocks These were used in all of the planters and the # 9 to hold the succulents and flowers in place... pro tip, it should be a little wet prior to adding your floral pieces... i didn't do this and made a huge mess... who knew?! Balloon Arch This is hands down my most favorite arch to date! The colors and the quality was amazing! I didn't have to be easy on them until actually hanging them where i will say i popped a few! Also, side note: you will need a hand balloon pump for the smaller ones! I didn't believe the directions and thought my electric balloon pump would do the trick... nope - had to make a quick run to Walmart for a hand pump! And ps... I wanted to share that our cake and cupcakes were from Walmart! I was so focused on party prepping that I forgot to order a cake! I had to run to our local Walmart on the fly and they knocked it out of the park! It was on theme and SO YUMMY!
So... that's the nitty gritty of our party prep! I pick a theme and then run to Amazon for all the ideas to come together and be delivered straight to my door! ha! It's my busy life hack for party planning!
